But let me ask you sincerely, do you truly know who you are?
I encountered the book Understanding Potential by Dr. Myles Munroe way back in 1997, as a young undergraduate. I was just a seeker, hungry for more, full of questions. That book didn’t just speak to me. It ignited something inside me.
Now, 27 years later, I feel a strong pull to read it again. Not because I’ve failed, but because I’ve grown, and I’m still growing. The journey has been wild, prophetic, and loaded with lessons. I thank God for the seed that Dr. Myles Munroe sowed into my life.
What is Potential?
Let’s make it simple:
Potential is everything inside you that you haven’t yet become.
It is the strength, the ideas, the gifts, and the greatness still locked inside you.
Think of it like this:
A seed doesn’t look like a tree, but the tree is already inside.
An egg doesn’t look like a flying eagle, but the ability to soar is there.
A quiet young man or woman may look average, but they carry nations, systems, and revival inside them
That is potential.
It is the power of God already placed inside you, just waiting for your faith and obedience to unlock it.
YOU THINK YOU KNOW YOURSELF? YOU DON’T.
You can’t even imagine who you really are.
There was a time I didn’t know I had the potential to become all I am today. But look at me now:
I keep asking myself: “Where were all these abilities hiding 27 years ago?”
Today, I find myself actively functioning in disciplines I never imagined:
Law and legal systems
Public health and medical law
Economic development and strategy
Management science and business research
Agricultural economics
Criminology and security studies
Peace and conflict resolution
Systematic theology and nation-building
This is not arrogance—it’s awakening
I am still in awe of what God is unfolding.
I sit in quiet wonder and say, “Lord, what is going on?”
I NEVER KNEW I HAD THE POTENTIAL TO BE…
A lawyer with prophetic depth
A pastor building systems and souls
A leader raising leaders across disciplines
A writer and author of over 100 relevant books
A university visionary and builder
A husband and father, strong in purpose
A teacher of nations, bringing fire and clarity across platforms
All of these were already inside me — they just needed understanding, guidance, and prophetic awakening.
